The northern part of Honduras
is hot and humid the whole year. The mountainous zone
in the central part of the country is dryer and cooler.
There are two seasons in Honduras: the rainy season
from October to December and the dry season from January
to September.
It may rain in the evenings from June to October
Heavy showers fall once or twice a day during the
peak of the rainy season. Summer clothing is suitable
for most of the year. During the cooler part of the
rainy season, it may be colder during the day.
Honduras is one hour behind Eastern Standard Time, running
on Central American Time.
